For the past weeks, the news were all about the back to back storm that hit our country. Actually the first one was just a (1) monsoon rain and then a few days later came the real (2) typhoon. There were landslides and flash floods all over. The tragedy had left many many people homeless. =( I praise God that our house was spared from flooding and my whole family is safe and sound. So, thank you SO MUCH for all your prayers!
And in spite of all those things happening, I am so blessed to see many people going out of their way to help others. I know most of them have also been affected but that didn’t stop them from helping those who are more in need. The people of my country showed love, bravery and unity in this time of crisis. I so love this photo I saw on Facebook….
Yes, I’m proud to be a Filipino!
And although the sun is out, the (3) storm in our family has not ended. This storm didn’t come with showers of rain but showers of tears when this past Sunday, our uncle passed away with cancer. I feel very sad for the loss that had left my aunt and niece all by themselves. I actually did not know that he was brought to the hospital again until last Sunday. I thought he had recovered already years ago but apparently, the cancer cells came back and they were more intense. We went to his wake yesterday and my aunt relayed to us how it all took place. We are deeply saddened… =( Do keep her in your prayers specially their 9 year old daughter… It is such a low time in their lives now. Thank you!
With all these happening, I know God has a purpose and that is to turn to Him and just rely on His comfort and strength. Are you also going through any storms in your life now? I would love to pray for you. You can send me a private message if you don’t want to put it on the comments box. =)

I’m so sorry for the storm in your life right now. Death is never an easy thing to deal with especially since everyone copes with it differently.

Thanks, Melissa. It’s really a tough time now but we know that God is with us… It helps to know that there is One who comforts us in times like this.
So glad to hear you are safe!! So sorry to hear about your loss. Lifting up you and your family in prayer during this time of sadness. Loss of a loved one creates a hole in our hearts, but I pray that God will help heal that hole for your aunt and niece. Lots of love being sent your way from the other side of the world!
