How’s Married Life?

I had a great bonding time with my college friends recently.

And guess what.. before going to our mini-reunion, I found letters from my cabinet I wrote 8 YEARS AGO! I just gave it to them that night and boy they were laughing! Whatever happened it took that long to get that letter delivered?!?!

We had a long and almost unending catching up. And of course I was asked by almost everyone…

How’s married life?

I just told them it was great. On my way home, I realized my marriage isn’t just great. It is awesome, It is fantastic. It is everything I wanted it to be!

Everyday, I wake up thanking God for the husband He had given me.

I love the way he caresses me so I could go to sleep.

I love the way he hugs me when I feel down.

I love that he is quick to forgive when I unintentionally hurt him.

I love that he is quick to ask forgiveness when he knows he’s hurt my feelings.

I love that he makes me laugh everyday!

So how’s my married life? I’m super blessed to have a husband like him…

How about you? How’s your married life?

So great to hear that! =D It’s not everyday we hear wives say they are madly in love with their husbands even after the “honeymoon” period =)

Married life is fantastic and gets better every day! :-D The key to a successful marriage (in my opinion) is to focus on what your spouse DOES instead of what he/she doesn’t do. I am so thankful for my husband. God knew exactly what He was doing when He put the two of us together. Sure, my husband does stupid “man” things, but guess what? I do stupid “woman” things. I am so thankful to have a husband who speaks words of love to me and about me to others. Is he ubber romantic? Not in the traditional sense. But does he romance ME? Yes. Yes, he does. He does the dishes when I’m too tired. He makes sure the children speak to HIS wife with respect. He kisses me goodnight and good bye. He never leaves the house without telling me he loves me. When I mention that something needs fixed…he fixes it. Do I get roses daily (or yearly)??? No. And I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten a love letter from him other than on V-Day and my birthday…and that was written by some Hallmark person… No candy. No jewelry. No shoes. No THINGS. No long walks on the beach…or anywhere. No candlelight dinners. But he protects me. He KNOWS me. I am so thankful for my husband. He is my best friend.
